Our solutions depend on your problems. Every situation is unique and, in our experience, “one size fits all” does not work, so light, plants, water and drainage are planned together.
Pathways, docks, pools, palms and facades, on a low-voltage LED system that doesn't touch your house wiring.
Design, planting, curbing, mulch, rock, sod and clean-up, starting with a free on-site consultation.
Sprinkler inspection and repair, drip, subsurface and smart controllers with rain sensors.
French, surface, channel and hybrid drains that move standing water to a better place.
How lighting gets done right
Outdoor lighting is seen after dark, so that's when it gets finished. Here's how one customer described working with us.
Send the estimate form or call. Michael calls you back to talk through the front of the house, the pool cage, the dock, or all three.
Our own Zflex line of weather-resistant LED fixtures, with a 10-year warranty. “…we really liked how solid the lights felt, their knowledge of the products, the follow up service they provide and warranty on the lights themself.”
A stand-alone low-voltage system, with no changes to your home's wiring. “They quickly got everything installed, answered all our questions and explained things along the way.”
“He showed up promptly at 8:30, adjusted the lights and secured the electrical box. A few neighbors walked over to see how beautiful they lit up the front of the house.”

Drainage
Low-lying, flat Tampa Bay lots hold water after every storm. Standing water promotes lawn disease, structural damage and pests, especially mosquitoes, roaches, carpenter ants and termites. We install French, surface, channel and hybrid drains to route it somewhere better.
“I had this company install a yard drainage system at my home. They earned 5 stars in every category: responsiveness, communication, pricing, delivery, and quality of workmanship.”
Irrigation
Tampa Bay has two seasons, wet and dry. Overwatering in the wet season wastes water and money; underwatering in the dry season can damage or even kill a lawn. We install programmable controllers with a rain sensor, so the system waters regularly but not after it rains.
Wet season
May to October
Hot and wet. Afternoon storms do much of the watering, so the controller should back off.
Dry season
November to April
Mild and dry. The lawn depends on the system, so coverage and schedule matter most.
15,000
Gallons a year
EPA WaterSense: what an average home can save, at most, by replacing a clock-based controller with a WaterSense labeled one.
Required
Rain sensors, by Florida law
Florida requires automatic sprinkler systems to have technology that stops them after enough rain.
9b / 10aUSDA zones,Landscaping
Every Zuzack landscape starts with a free on-site consultation to capture your vision and exchange ideas. Tampa falls within USDA Hardiness Zones 9b and 10a, which allows a year-round growing season. Timing and plant choice are what make it last.
“They did an amazing job on improving my flowerbed and converting some sprinkler heads. The staff was great and the pricing was very reasonable.”

Most Zuzack lighting systems start around $4,000. That typically covers landscape up-lighting, some path lights, and the transformer and wire. We build packages to fit every customer's budget, and every home is quoted individually. The final price depends on how many fixtures you need, the zones and transformers, wire runs, warm white or color, and the controls. Our lighting cost guide explains each factor.
No. Zuzack installs stand-alone low-voltage systems that don't require installing, rewiring or otherwise modifying the electrical wiring of your structures.
We use LED fixtures. According to the U.S. Department of Energy (opens in a new tab), LEDs use at least 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs and last up to 25 times longer.
Zuzack designs its own line of outdoor LED fixtures, Zflex, and installs it with a 10-year warranty on our own Zflex fixtures, and up to 20 years on other brands, depending on the fixture. If you'd rather use a fixture brand you already know and trust, we install other brands too. Landscaping (plants and sod) carries no warranty, because plant health depends on watering and care after planting.
